this is the same company as hannsG which is usually around $320 for this thing. Who in college is using cable tv? Do they not know about the internet?

What do you mean #1? I used cable TV on a projector in my dorm room.. why would you need internet?

Costco has this same one, branded with Hanns G. I believe they are the same models. It will cost around $350 vs $400 at compusa.

#4 The costco unit does not include a TV tuner and lacks a bit in specs (contrast ratio) to this unit. However, it is $299.

I've seen more then a few college dorms w/cable tv. So, yes something like this may be appealing.

Why 28" and not go for a 32"? I am sure if you have room for 1 the other should fit. 32" prices are dropping by the week.

This is a TV not a monitor! But it supports full 1200 lines of resolution. This is a nice deal. Just a few bucks more than the Hanns G 28" computer monitor and it's got the tuners...use it for your computer AND to watch TV (without the need for a TV tuner in your computer)...

Seems like the ultimate TV monitor combo for a dorm.
