There is no catch on this deal as this is mail order and they are not trying to lure you to the showroom to sell you other items.
The MSRP is only $799, so it is not a big discount after all.

40RV525U is a discontinued model. Amazon did have the 40RV525R on sale for one day (R at the end, not U) but I missed it. I called ABT and they matched the price to 6th Ave. and gave me the R (new) model for $648, no tax, no shipping.
