For this price, you should wait and pick up the 100pk of Verbatim DVDs that constantly pop up ($18-22). Much better shelf life and more consistent quality.

What is the expected shelf life anyway of a dvd? I know it's longer than a cdr, but exactly how long can you consider it safe for backups before you would reburn new ones? 5 years?
