I've talked to the folks at Aliph (the makers of Jawbone) a few times about this unit and they claim that the internals are identical to the Jawbone 2. Besides some minor exterior changes, the only other change is the DSP which is supposed to filter out wind noise better.

The DSP filter is the reason people get the Jawbone. I still wouldn't pay $100 though. If it was $60 or so and not bright yellow in color I'd think about it.
