Decent price on excellent media. They've been cheaper in the past.

We learn something new every day, such as Ben doesn't know how to use macro mode on his camera.

This is a new June rebate, I already got back my May rebate check. Their rebate processing is quick.
However, I still prefer their DVD+R.

I hate buying DVD's with a rebate. I personally just use taiyo yuden dvd's. They really don't cost much more and I get basically no costers. In about 350 dvd's I have had 1 coaster. I did have good success with Verbatim, but I probably had 2 to 3 coasters every 100 pack.

Good price on good Media. I always have good luck with Verbatim. The rebate was for the +R's also last time.

#7, TYs are a lot more expensive than this. The cheapest I have seen TYs is $27.

Just FYI, I got a DL stack of Verbatims a couple months ago and the whole batch was bad. I did some research, and apparently Verbatim moved their factor to another country a year or two back, and now they're complete crap. DO NOT buy Verbatim.

#10, I kind of agreed with you on Verbatim 4.7GB quality lately, last cake of 100, I got a good 8, 9 discs gone bad, I changed the burn speed from 16 down to 12, no coaster so far.
Last time Office Max had Verbatim DL on sale (an yr+ ago) I stocked up a few, they're still good !
#7, Verbatim prices and Taiyo Yuden are quite different, can't compare bud!

Fools. Burn at 4X speed for optimal quality. It's recommended for all applications including Wii backups. If you don't know this by now you don't know what you are doing. The coasters are probably due to your burner, hard drive speed and the vibration of the disk at high speeds.

I've used Verbatim, Sony but mostly Memorex and always burn at a slower speed with few problems. If one does happen to coaster, BFD its a quarter.

These are great discs! only wish you didn't have to submit a rebate. They've been this cheap before with out rebates. As for coasters - I've gone through almost 400 of these Verbatims without a single coaster. You never burn at the highest speed, always burn at half the top speed for any disc.

#12 you're the one that doesn't know what you're doing. Look at some disc scans at VideoHelp or CD Freaks, burning 16x discs at 4x gives terrible results. 8x to 12x usually gives the best burns.

#12, #14...Why dont you both go to Merit Line and buy those 4x and 8X discs, why buy 16X and burn it at 4X or 1/2 speed? Nothing wrong with my burner(s)along with my SATA hard drives.
In the past, I went thru 8, 9 cakes of Verbatim with 2, 3 coasters (.003%), now I got 8, 9 out of almost 100. I opened another cake of...50, went just fine----> Bad batch, perhaps quality gone bad.

Bummer - the rebate kills the otherwise good deal.
