"Ability to add maps" what does this mean? Pay extra to Garmin to add map or can you edit the map that is already on there?

There is a community of folks publishing their own maps. You attach the Nuvi to your computer via USB and write the map file to the internal storage of the Nuvi.
Or, you can pay Garmin as much as $120 for a "lifetime" subscription to map updates.
Legal Disclaimer: I had a bad purchasing experience with Yugster and I won't buy from them again. This in no way should influence your decision to take advantage of this offer.
