Or if you don't have guitar hero and just like getting 2 guitars to be able to play with friends, you can go to gamestop and get many of them for $30 for a game with a guitar. Try codes ALIVE, SAVER, and CAG16 for 16% off and/or free shipping (the codes keep deactivating and then activating again - not sure why, just try them all, they're stackable). I got Guitar Hero 3 with guitar for PS3 for $31 shipping, and the Aerosmith one with guitar for PS3 for $29 shipped. So for $60 you get 2 games and 2 guitars. Can get them even cheaper for PS2.

Looking at Guitar Hero and Rock Band Wii bundles for the kids. Which is better?

allibaby. Tough call. My experience is that most people tend to prefer whichever franchise they played first. I ended up getting both, but started on GH, so I'm probably a bit partial towards those games. I know you mentioned the Wii, but Walmart had a $99 price tag for the GHWT kit. They might also have smokin Wii deals if you haven't checked.

rock band battle!

I can't stand this game.

I've played a little bit Rock Band and notice the buttons don't even go with the beat/notes of the song.

the game is fun... but when you think about the hours wasted on this game, your life would be more enriched if you just took that time and applied it to learning to play a real guitar.
