I always wanted to try this, so I'm picking one up today.
If you want one you may want to order soon...
In my area they don't have more than 3 available at any location (at least that's all they seem to carry in Milwaukee).

I'm all for trying new things, but I rather continue gripping my nuts the old fashion way.

    #2 Speaks the truth.

But seriously, these come in different torque sizes #1, too.

These strike me as workable, but that they would wear out quickly (I would imagine the little rods in there get bent up and marred pretty easily).

I have one. I use it quite often for around-the-house projects. I like pretty well. The one thing that I have always said that if you only want to carry a few tools with you for a project it is good to have in your bag.

I had something similar to this a couple of years ago, and it worked really well.

Great idea if the rods are infinitely small.

Don't make fun of #9 for having a stuttering problem.

I don't think I have ever seen any of these tools actually work very well.

I personally prefer a Norelco Shaver for making rounded nuts smoother.
