anyone have personal experience with this one?

Got this Garmin about a month ago and am very happy with it. I've read about speaker sound issues with this model, but when this is in the mount it is very easily heard and understood.

This unit is very simple and basic, but has been very useful and accurate. The windshield suction cup mount is sturdy and can be installed and removed with one hand. The unit itself fits easily into a pocket and it's possible to put the unit, mount and power cord into a medium-sized purse.

Comes with a map update from the Garmin website which downloads the update to your computer then installs on the nuvi. (Allow enough time for the download - at least 8 hrs.)

Gives plenty of lead time in both the video map and audio instructions so getting positioned for turns is easy. If you miss a turn or decide to make an impromptu stop, this unit immediately recalculates accurate directions to your original destination rather than resorting to a u-turn prompt. Seems quick at acquiring satellite in my locale.

I would recommend the Garmin nuvi 205 without reservation.
