crap, I bought a 4gb from staples for $80

How does this compare with the Creative Zen 8GB, which can be had refurb for around the same price?

This is refurb. Don't know about refurb, but reviews for retail are good from amazon.com. Brand new is $102 at Amazon.

not bad

I got this for $60 several weeks ago but with shipping and tax, was closer to $75. Although I don't buy Sony products in the past, I bought this mainly for the battery life. I was pleasantly surprised. Movies are quite watchable on the tiny high resolution LCD. I have another MP4 player with a resolution of 180x160 for it's 2" LCD... but the same LCD from this Sony one has 320x240; so I can read the subtitles. The sound clarity is amazing; good bass. The battery lasts a very long time.

I would buy again.
