I see that there are some Dell monitors called 2409 and some with 2410. Is that some designation for the widescreen ratio? 16x9 vs. 16x10?

Traditionally, "24" for 24 inches and "09" for 2009. Has been the case since the 2405.

So that means that 2410 is the 2010 model??? I knew this was the case for the Ultrasharp series, but it looks like Dell has several new models (Not Ultrsharp) that have both x09 and x10 in their numbers.

Who wants 1080? Give me 1920x1200. I want real estate.

Monitors will be going to the same aspect ratios as TVs so get used to your lack of real estate. It's cheaper for the manufacturers to mass produce fewer sizes of the glass used in LCD. Also, supposedly they can cut a few more pieces from the master sheet with this size than with the size of the glass used for the 1920x1200. I don't know if the latter is true, but I can definately see it being cheaper to run 1 machine for 24 inch screens instead of 2.

Also, link takes me to a page where it shows the price as $249... added it to cart, still $249. It appears the deal is over. :\

209 was only for one day

i love it and saves a lot of power! but needs color adjustment. nvidia digital vibrance was all it needed.
