Always look into the cost of replacement batteries before buying a cordless tool set. The batteries for these are spendy. I can't speak to the quality of these but I think you would be better served by a Ryobi set. A bit more expensive set but the batteries are half as expensive and available locally at least for me. I have never bought anything from Geeks but I do hear a lot of bitching about them.

I would stay away from these cheapo combo sets. If you want stuff that you can count on, whether you're using it everyday or just want it to work on the occasion you need it, get Milwaukee equipment. This stuff is quality. I bought one of their cordless drills on the advice of my local hardware guy, and it gave me no problems during a whole day of installing cabinets. No dead batteries in a solid 8 hours of use! It's made in the US, so it is a little more expensive, but tools are still one of those things where you get what you pay for.

#7 I wouldn't argue about the quality of Milwaukee tools but most home owners don't need pro grade at 2 - 3 times the cost. If they have a life time warranty on everything including the batteries then a case can be made in the long run. I have had inexpensive Ryobi tools for years and only had to replace the batteries about every 3. They have always been adequate for my needs and have seen many contractors using Ryobi tools. If you have money to burn to each their own..

I've owned this exact set for about a year now and am extremely happy. @#8 - Yes, for my average home use they work terrific! Drill even has way more torque than I'd expected. Used the sawzal to cutup a tree in the yard with no problems, ripped plywood with the circular saw. They also don't feel like a cheep set. The physical quality could rival that of any expensive name brand.

Sure it "could", if only they had been spec'd, designed, parts purchased/used, then assembly and qc were higher quality than they are. Your statement only clarifies that you haven't actually compared them to better name brands in any real use. Night and day difference.
