Would it be possible to stack two of these in a standard optical drive bay? What kind of IDE cable would be used? It isn't a typical desk top interface is it?

No, it wouldnt be possible. They use a special small cable. I doubt you could find the adapters to make it work.

You guys are thinking laptop hard drive connections. DVD drives aren't 44-pin.
