This may not be a bad deal for some people. It is weak spec and price wise vs a TN panel, but not bad for an IPS panel. The IPS panels will have better color reproduction, viewing angles, etc.

This is a FANTASTIC deal. People buying this monitor aren't purchasing it for HDMI or gaming. They are purchasing it for the IPS panel, accurate color reproduction, horizontal & vertical orientation, and extremely wide angle of view. I own this monitor and nothing comes even close to it at this price point. You can look at this monitor almost completely from the side and there is barely any shift in color. This particular model goes on sale much less frequently than most of Dell's other models, and is usually priced $289. Even at that price this monitor is worth it. If you value color accuracy and build quality, go for this one.

I bought this monitor last March for $206. Colors are great, speed is very good. My only complaint is that the text is not as clear as I think it should be.
