#8 - you forgot to mention "at the same price point". LED back lit LCDs have equally good black level (if not better) while generating less heat & consuming a lot less power. Motion/pan blur is still an issue with many 240Hz models, but have less flickering issue than plasmas for viewing 24p (film) material. But when you consider the price, it's hard to ignore these Panasonic plasmas.
