I love paying double, my bank told me they could not hold anymore of my money so I have to spend it somewhere!

While Sony can eat my ass for these proprietary memory formats, and haven just bought a microSD to MSPD converter, if rape is your thing, this is a good price.

Why focus your anger on such a minor issue?
Every format out there was invented by some company for profit. Sony and Phillips invented the Compact Disc format. Do you hate that? Who invented the SD or Compact Flash formats? I bet you don't even know (and don't Google it and pretend like you do!)

will the microsdhc to mspd adapter work for camcorders (sony dcr-dvd650) as well?

#6, I think 1,2,3,4,5 don't really mind with all the formats. It's just Sony's pattern of charging more for similar stuff on the market.

#6-why pay a premium for such a similar format. I'm just irked that they charge so damn much for a Sony-specific format. Thankfully there are adapters (don't know how many other Sony devices it will work with, the instructions are to format the stick for use on a PSP, IN the actual PSP, so that might be worth noting) that allow for the much more common memory stick, and one that costs pennies on the dollar for like-size. So in summary, #8, you're exactly right.
Even MicroSDs are relatively cheap though, and since you're trying to fit a couple into a single MSPD shell, of course they need to be small, it makes it more expandable though as a dual slot device.
