Seems a bit bulky.

I have one of these. It allows me to make drunk calls at 2am.

Not sure how this works. I have an APC ipod/iphone charger which basically works as a usb charger (and can be charged over USB). Probably more expensive, but I think it is a more useful solution, especially for travel. Often while at the airport I will charge my laptop, iPhone, and the APC charger at the same time, and have enough juice on my iPod/iPhone for very long trips (e playing 5-10 hrs of video).
