All of these fitness clubs are scams. Ever tried to walk in with a '2 week free trial' membership? They con you and lock you in an office and won't let you go until you sign an agreement with them.

Costco still has the 2-year membership including ultra sport for $299.

I got this last year with no tax or initiation fee. When it expired I got the costco deal and they didn't charge tax or initiation fee. Costco is a better deal.
Neither includes "Super" or "Ultra" clubs but those are only in LA. I also talked to the 24 hour rep about the Ultra/Super clubs and he said it is 24 Hour Fitness' policy to have a regular club within 5 miles of each Ultra/Super club. You can use their website to search for clubs near you and the offers that work for each club.
Overall, I'm very happy with these deals.

I went to one of their gyms last year. Laced up the gloves and started sparring with a bunch of the jerks there.
I got thrown out and asked to never come back again.

If you worked out you wouldn't have that problem. You could just muscle your way out of their office. Of course to work out you would have to buy a membership so this is all pointless. Sort of a catch-22. Ummm, I think.

There are several Super and Ultra clubs all over now. There's one in San Mateo. Yes, most, but not all, locations are open 24/7

I got a All-Clubs membership with Super Sport access for 3 years at $949.00 and a renew rate at $29 a year for life. It's a good deal if you use the club a lot as I do.
