Anybody know if there's a highly recommended/reviewed Blu-Ray player out there?

#2 the Sony PS/3 is just about the best Blu-Ray player on the market. But if I were looking for a dedicated BD player for my main TV I'd save up longer for the new Oppo-BDP-83.

#3 I think the high-end Panasonic model is better than PS3 in terms of Blu-ray performance.

Are there any good blu-ray players with divx or xvid?

#5, the Panasonic BD players are the best. Read the reviews on Amazon. I own the DMP-BD60 but the newest Model DMP-BD80 can play DIVX.

I have the Sony BDP-S350, got it around christmas for $200 on sale. Not a bad player at all... takes forever to power on (even to open the tray), but the performance on both Blu-Ray and DVDs is fantastic.

might as well buy a ps3. Ps3 is still the best blu-ray player out there - not much more expensive than this.

How long til Blu-Ray players are under $50? 1 year or 2?
