Great for a second camera. I use this when I don't feel like lugging around my d50. It snaps decent pictures at parties, and the video mode isn't too shabby. Definately a decent point and shoot camera. It's fairly compact as well which is a definite plus.

Nice review #1 based on it I might get this as spare. The only thing keeping me off the deal is the pink, but again who would steal a pink camera?

I care not for getting brutally beaten by some canadian bacon basher while carrying this around.

It's more of a Magenta than pink... Still very girly, but lots of guys (even straight ones) are starting to wear pink. There are quite a few guys where I work (who tend to do suprisingly well with the ladies) that wear pink shirts or hats on a regular basis. So I doubt you'll get too many looks. Worst case, someone will think you're canadian bacon, but who cares if your GF knows what's up, amirite?

I will admit this camera has a bit of a quirky menu system, but I use it as a straight point and shoot. Once you get it setup in the auto mode just hit the button like a cheap disposable camera. If you're hoping for more than that, look elsewhere.
