The 'refurbished' scares me a little bit. Does anyone have one of these, really interested for the speaker phone.

I have one of these and use it with 4 remotes. Have had it for over 2 years with no problems.The speaker phone is pretty good - would not hesitate to buy it.

I have a Uniden that looks similar, but I can't be certain it is the same. The model number has 8886 in it. Anyway these phones are absolutely fantastic and I've had them for about 7 years.
Five of my friends have the same model based on our building recommendations. We are all happy. The speaker phones in the base and in every handset are excellent.
Just this week, I had to replace rechargeable batteries in 2 of the 5 handsets. That was the first time battery replacement.
