If you like rock, alternative, punk, and similar music, forget XM and save your money. Since the merger with Sirius, XM is nowhere near as good as it was. I had XM for 3 years before the merger and I really liked it. After the merger, they used most of the Sirius stations and dumped Fred, Ethyl, and Lucy among others and added inane DJ's.

I concur with #1, very tight playlist and DJs that blather on about what they had for lunch, bad since the merger.
If you don't need to go Mobile but like having a radio type appliance go buy an internet radio, cheaper in the long run and way for choices.

You guys are right on point in your assessments. Not only are the DJ's inane but have you noticed that at any given time you can jump between three rock stations (Deep Tracks, Classic Vinyl, Classic Rewind) and either hear the same song being played at the same time or the same song ending on one station and the exact same song beginning on another station. Once my subscription is up I am dumping it.
