These motherboards are good enough for a great number of users, who do not care about over-clocking. I have numerous ECS motherboads no major problems. One time I had to flash the bios, because it didn't support the newer CPU that I had, which is again not a super big deal.

ECS does have bad repute and I'm sure that people must have bad experiences with their motherboards. I am just trying to let people know about my experiences, there is no doubt that Asus, Gigabye, MSI, Foxconn etc have nicer boards, but they are more expensive too.
