If you have the Jawbone 2 you can (at least could) get the new earloop for free. It makes a world of difference in keeping the Jawbone in the ear.

I just don't get why ANYONE would spend this much money on a fricken earphone used for sh:tty digital cell phone voice quality. Sure it has noise canceling but whoopty-do...definitely not worth this outrageous price.

#2, people for whom $100 is nothing would spend this much. Besides, noise cancellation is pretty important especially in light of the poor cell phone voice quality. Personally I have used several $20-40 headsets and they all have terrible sound quality and susceptible to noise. Especially the iPhone, which has bad noise cancellation to begin with. My Jawbone 2 (purchased for $60) is the only thing that lets people hear me at times.
Don't know what the Jawbone 3 adds to be worth an extra 40 dollars, though, especially since Aliph made the gel earbuds free for Jawbone 2 users.

I had both Jawbone 1 and 2. Works perfectly as advertised. Their headset allows me to take conference calls while I'm driving, walking outside, in a restaurant, work on my bikes, etc. It's a life saver for me. Hands down the only headset that allow me the freedom to do other stuff while taking some boring calls. Totally worth the $60 I spend on it and more. The new one will of course be expensive. It will come down eventually. You be the judge how much it is worth to you. But bottom line is, it works very well and nothing else can match that I know of.

The new ear bud is silicone. Better than the ear gels that Jabra has made. The fit is more comfortable and you can wear them for long periods of time. The "new fit" ear buds (as Aliph calls them) come with the new Prime. Doesn't look like you can get freebies anymore. You'll find the JAWBONE NEW FIT EARBUD 3-PACK here: http://us.jawbone.com/store/products.aspx. Just scroll down a bit.
I've tried a lot of gels and ear pieces and found these work much better, are cooler and like I said you can wear them much longer. I actually use this New Fit with my Samsung Wep200. Much better fit and sound quality. The opening allows sound through much better than some of the gels.
All the Jawbones started out retailing at $129 but can always be found for a better price. The latest version is always more expensive but keep your eyes peeled for deals on the web.
