#2, be sure to get your free map update within 60 days..Map is numbered 2010. I had to call garmin and fax proof a recent purchase to get the upgrade since my unit was refurb also.

Thanks #3. Yes I did some research but have not known how it will actually work until I receive the device. Garmin is mean though. 60-day map upgrade is a ripoff for those who don't know it.

Took about 3 weeks of email back and forth with Garmin for me to get the new map. And still it is not as update as google map. At least they came through.

Talking about refurb Garmin 255w - what comes with it? I search and can't find that listed anywhere. New comes with mount and car power cable.

#6, it should come with everything like a new unit as per amazon's people's reviews. I hope it will at least come with 90 days warranty if not 6 months like Tomtom refurbished units.
