Oooh. Anyone have any experience with this machine? How hot does it get? Turions are supposed to be relatively cool and quiet. I need a good ubuntu/DosBox laptop to replace my horrible (hot, loud) toshiba tablet.

I just bought one 2 weeks ago when it was $380 at J&R; it has vista home premium with a lot of Acer software installed. You'll need to uninstall all Acer software to make the system stable, or it freezes sometimes.
it goes about same temperature and quiet as my HP laptop with intel C2D.
Battery: 6 cell 4400mAh; gives me 1.5 - 2hr depending on power saving selection.

Awesome, that sounds like a winner. I'd format the thing anyway, eff Windows.
