I was about to say that it is faster than a netbook but then I noticed that it has Windows Vista on it and only 2GB ram for them... Bigger screen I guess, if that's an advantage over netbooks

it's small and long battery life.

Um its a 14.1" screen and has decent battery life. It has a cd dvd drive in it. You can wipe the drive and You can put XP on it. It has user servicable parts, memory, dvd, hd. Like #1 said. Better than a Netbook anyday.

no, one of the reviewers found out from Gateway CS that the hardware in this laptop is not compatible with xp.
