how is this one? good deal? ok deal?
is there a big difference bewteen DDR2 and DDR3? and is the Intel GMA 4500MHD any good? thanks!
does lenovo have any machines that come without windows installed? like dell's ubuntu machines?

I have this exact model and I like it alot. This price doesn't include tax. I got it for 570 OTD but the wait was for almost 4 weeks. I know ddr3 is the "newer" ram and costs may be higher. the graphics are decent. If you are a big gamer this might not be for you. I think they all come with vista or xp.
But Lenovo will send windows 7 after you pay shipping/handling.
BTW, it has a white keyboard, but it looks real sharp.

The new slightly smaller 13.3" 3.45lbs IdeaPad U350 Intel C2D SU2700 ULV Processor ( 1.30GHz 800MHz 2MB ), 3GB DDR3, 250GB HDD, Intel X4500 after coupon comes to $611 + tax which is a pretty good price for something portable. Of course it's gimping a little on stats but if you value portability over processing power and don't need HD on a 13" screen, I think it's a good buy.

And #1 I believe they offer linux support for some models but don't offer any that have linux pre-installed. Plz correct me if I'm wrong.
