the sheer value of this deal is giving me a 6" canopy.

That's a pretty short canopy. I feel bad for you.

This thing is not worth the money. I bought one when this deal was posted 2 weeks ago. Its almost impossible to put up by yourself. You will need 2 people to do this even the manual said so. The pockets for the 4 supporting poles are a joke. don't let the picture fool you. This thing will not stay up with just the the 4 supporting pole. It comes with 4 cords to anchor it down barely.

Would it be enough to use as a car shade for waxing?
