I dont know if they changed things or not in these new series of navigons, I have the first gen nav7100.
While the 3d view looks cool, navigating through the menus or even just trying to find a specific POI is very difficult compared to garmin or tom tom.
I consider myself a techie so for the most part I can overlook it. The only major gripe is that navigons do not give you the option to enter a specific GPS coordinate for destinations.
I tend to hike a lot and most of the starting points are not labled on maps so i need to use gps coordinates.
