who buys refurbished laptops? hardrives only degrade as they get older why would someone spend money on a used one?

I might be going out on a limb here but maybe it's because they're cheaper than new?

Or, maybe it is to buy a computer that fits with a system they already have. I recently purchased a D610 from them than looks like new. I already have a bunch of D series laptops with docking stations, extra drives, etc. that I support. I don't want to have to buy all the extra stuff just to support one E series Latitude.
PS - Previous deals have been better. I got 25% off $400
