I think walmart has these in stores for $5 all the time. I see them every time I go thru the tool section and it kinda nags at me. I am tempted to get one, but wonder the same as #1...

the pieces inside seem round, i cant see that gripping very well..maybe if they were hex shaped

had one.. broke the first time i tried to use it. the pieces inside are hexagonal... at least on the one I had.

i tried them when they first came out 10+ yrs ago and couldn't get it to grip anything really well. i frustratingly wrote it off as a marketing hyped POS, i was really hoping it would work as well as advertised....
i'm actually quite surprised I still see them around on shelves at Walmart and other places

I tried one at work once, if the nut isn't too tight it works but it felt like it was about to break on a tight nut so I switched to a regular socket.

I have this if your taking apart something with a bunch of different nuts its nice to have one tool to do them all, but like #18 said any thing that is tight it feels like it will break but mine never did. I have had it for years and the pins have never gotten stuck for me.
