Just learned the hard way on the importance of a good case for this phone. Supposedly drop proof to a certain extent but apparently not.
I've dropped my phone many times and it survived impact to the sides and corners of the phone. Never really paid much attention to protecting the screen itself from impact other than a screen protector.
Dropped phone again by accident and it landed face down on some gravel and the entire screen is now cracked. Even with applecare this is considered accidental damage and they will charge $200 to replace the glass and lcd (even if its just the glass portion that is broken).
