One of the reviews on newegg says the toner costs twice as much as the printer. So, I'm going to buy a couple of these.

I have had mine for over 2 years. It works great. The tone is about average proced for a laser printer, but you can get it refilled for about half the price of a OEM one.

The toner was $25 at office depot and it is good for ~5000 pages. The test toner that comes with the printer is good for ~3500-4000 pages.

This printer is rock solid, get it.

man these things are like disposables...they cost less than toner...might as well keep buying these and just throwing it out when its done with toner lol

Monochrome laser printers went out in the 1980's.

I'm still using my old samsung laser printer .. the 2310 ... it won't die!! Its been the best printer I've ever owned ... so much cheaper than an inkjet ... the family workhorse.

A 3 pack of toner refill usually goes for around $18 on eBay so this is a good printer overall.

Bought the original ML-1210 model in 2002 and it still works seamlessly.

This type of printer is great. How often do you really need color. You can recharge the toner cartridge/drum yourself for a couple of bucks if you know what you're doing. New drum is $30 or so if you don't know/want to mess with DYI refill. [p]Speedy printer, very productive and reliable!

Ben also recently posted the HP LaserJet P1006 for $99. I know it's twice as much but I'm curious as to which is the better buy. The HP has a very small footprint just like this Samsung.

It looks like a color LaserJet would set you back about $150.
