I bought a off lease Latitude 620 (2Ghz, 2Gb ram, 14" screen, Win XP for $342 including shipping. There is a big difference between the business laptop and the consumer laptop.
You can buy new laptops for that price but the Latitudes are pretty well built; my old P3 1Ghz still works fine although the battery died years ago.
i don't need anything fancy but I want something that is reliable.
