Meritline has the 11-LED Adjustable Camping Light Lantern for $5 - $3 off with coupon code MLCK188946120960AL1 [800 uses] = $2 with free shipping. 5" tall lantern is made with 11000 mcd bright LEDs and features adjustable brightness and 10,000 hours of LED lifetime. Requires three AA batteries (not included).
Cheaply made. I bought one a few months ago, one of the battery wires had detached but I soldered it back on.
Surprisingly bright light that runs on AA cells. Worth $2, not much more. But, hey, at this price it's a throwaway when you step on it or the delicate handle breaks.
At $2 a pop it is handy for emergency lighting, and nice that it takes AA instead of AAA cells (would've been even nicer if it took C or D cells except good AA NiMH rechargeables are most cost effective). Just don't expect a lot of light, but it is a great amount for $2.
I have one and am please with it's output and how long the batteries last.
Also, the head light they had today for $1 after code is also a good deal. Not as bright as my little bike light, but good for when you need to use both hands, and it also uses aaa's vs. watch type batteries.
Not much of a "lantern" but might be useful as a night light in case of blackout. Limit 1 on the coupon, I'll pass.
good for a bedside night light. don't expect more than that.

The laser pointers are 2 for $2, and no coupon needed.
i had one for fishing at night. it's super bright and long battery life for just $2, what you can say.....
