I tried these a while ago. Great phone, however you can't turn off the text to voice caller ID. I called Panasonic who said the units must be defective. I tried another set with the same results. I would have kept them otherwise.

overpriced still...considering no one uses landlines anymore...should be priced at 45 dollars at most.

Great phones. I have the base station hooked up to a MagicJack to my computer. Works great. I like the fact that all the phones announce who's calling. Also, the phones can be used as an intercom system.

Most people have landlines, probably more than have a cellphone but I feel sorry for people too poor to have both a cellphone and a land line.

The only people that don't have landlines are students and many scumbag types. Students it's understandable. Anyone else that does not have a landline and relies and wireless is a scumbag, loser that is cutting corners throughout their miserable, useless, won't be missed when they are gone, existance.
