OMG,
I don't know why Dell Mini are so bad.....
The mini 9 and 12 are about to be canceled. They 12s had a limit that you could not upgrade from 1gB of RAM to 2GB-what a loser system.
I can just imagine on the 10s
I have an 1000HA and it blew doors on a Dell Mini 9(which I use to own), It upgraded it to 2GB and run Windows 7 with no problem.
I want to upgrade to 1000HE, I am just waiting of good deal, last time I bought the 1000HA for 200Dls.
Go get one, you won't regret it-like I did with a Compaq and a Fiat wagon.
Cheers,

#3 The dell mini 9 can be upgraded to 2gb. And seems to have the same specs as the 1000ha so i think you might be confused.

I have a refurb 10v that I paid about $85 less than this. The keyboard on the 10v is much nicer than the 9. As #6 said, you can replace the memory, but it requires almost a complete tear down to do so. I'll do it after my warranty expires.

They are popular because they are 100% hacktatosh compatible. Also, Dell discontinues most of their laptop in a year.

whatever you do, don't buy the mini 9 with ubuntu... i jumped on the $199 deal (plus a few upgrdaes) last week and had the worse experience ever with customer service to return the product... had trouble with the camera and mic.. and barely any support for the ubuntu OS. how well is XP on these things?

Seems high priced with the 3 cell battery.

I think Dell Outlet is releasing 15% of $299 or more tomorrow. Should be able to get the bigger battery and SSD for less than $299 after coupon. Same warranty.
