I really don't understand why anyone would throw money away on a PS3 when you can get a much superior product such as this. Is Sony even making games anymore?

#2 Agreed. Though I wish I could play Killzone 2 and Uncharted 2 just once, damn console-only titles..

two of my friends have a PS3, they only play computer games though... it seems their PS3's are just expensive blu-ray players for the stuff they get from netflix... so I guess sony won? gg? :\

My PS3 mainly is used to watch movies I download without the need for a cable from my laptop.

I sold my PS3 as it just collected dust.
All my friends are on 360...

Awsome, add on the $60 wireless adapter, $40 for a larger hard drive and then get the HD-DVD addon and you have a sweet system, cost more than the PS3 at that point.
I know I crack on the 360 all the time, just waiting for the rumored price drop so I can pickup an Elite, then borrow my friends games.

I guess you're stuck with this now, I got the Dell Arcade deal at $162, the Circuit City (RIP) $40 refurb controller and 20gig HD, and came in better than this deal.

#5 you know you could get a set top streaming box for half the price and it'll do twice as much right? Like the Mvix Ultio.

Refurb...uh, no thanks. And #7, considering so few household even have HDTVs still, how useful is HD-DVD or Bluray for that matter? Additionally, I love that MS gives you options to add accessories, rather than include a bunch of crap and watch their sales suffer miserably because they can't afford to drop the price without going out of business. Off to buy my Prius with mini-fridge, helicopter blades, and toothpaste dispenser. Neutral I'll borrow the toothbrush from my friends. Neutral Neutral

    I love MS
Yeah I love to see all the cables and add-ons hanging all over the place. I specially love to don't know how much is going to cost to have all the basics features that should be included is like buying a Prius without Radio or A/C, thank you MS!

How is the RROD issue these days? Did they get it sorted out?

@14 In February 2008, during the Game Developers Conference 2008, Microsoft announced that the "Failure rate has officially dropped", but without mentioning any specifics. The same month, electronics warranty provider SquareTrade published an examination of 1040 Xbox 360s and said that they suffered from a failure rate of 16.4% (one in six). Of the 171 failures, 60% were due to a general hardware failure (and thus fell under the 3 year extended warranty). And of the remaining 40% which were not covered by the extended warranty, 18% were disc read errors, 13% were video card failures, 13% were hard drive freezes, 10% were power issues and 7% were disc tray malfunctions.

Not sure how accurate it is but, it is taken from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xbox_360_technical_problems

RROD is still around, but in no way as bad as it used to be.I think after 4 years they "almost" have it fixed. I own um all (wii-what a waste of money, 360-play the most, and Ps3) MS has the best all around machine right now.. I cant wait till they charge for dashboard updates, game updates, and well every single thing they can.. Dashboard 7 , just a $99 upgrade!

I don't want to jinx myself but in just a few weeks, my current console will be 3 years old without any issues or RROD. I don't know if it helps, but I always unplug the power when I'm not using it.

I still get freeze or lock up once in awhile but I just hit the power button and everything is back. PS3 is way over priced for me.
