I have this one and it has pluses and minuses. On the plus side it's the best on-road GPS that I've used. The display is excellent, the directions are as good as a gets with a GPS, it has every feature that I could want.
On the minus side the accuracy of the touch screen sucks. That makes entering an address a PIA. The other shortcoming is building the traffic receiver into the powercord. I like to wire in the cords for my GPS and radar detector and just leave a small easy to hide nub of cord to connect. Because of the way the 765T's traffic receiver is designed you're pretty much stuck with a cigarette lighter plug and dangling cords. That's just a dumb design move. It could also use a bit bigger memory. There isn't quite enough room for the entire US and a good sized POI database without adding additional memory.

This will be available at Costco.com from 8/17 for $280 after $50 instant rebate. Only drawback is- you'll miss the refurbished part!

My gf has one of these. It's alright but sometimes it flips out and says "recalculating" as soon as your not doing what it wants you to in a condescending voice...

sweet unit. I have the model below this one and i use it almost every day. FYI- there is no perfect GPS for everyone. If you need to calculate specific routes and want a reliable unit this is a great buy.

I sell mine every year on Craigslist to avoid paying for the expensive map upgrade & I end up with a newer model with he latest maps for about the same price I would have paid for the map upgrade alone.

#5, I agree. The map updates should be free in my opinion...or very minimal charges.

But I agree that new map should not be a ripoff. That's even more expensive than any other software if I have to buy on a yearly basis.
