I know lots of folks just buy a cheap laptop bag and are good to go. In fact, that's what I usually do. But I used to work somewhere that got really nice laptop bags, including some of the heftier Pelican bags. They are really well made. I wish I could afford them for my personal laptop, but I actually travel so little with it that spending for a really good bag doesn't make much sense.

Pelican makes some nice freakin carrying cases. Also gets you plenty of looks in the airport when you're using one. The pressure release is a super plus when it comes to taking it on the plane since it WILL be pressurized afterwards.

If you travel a lot, but don't really have to tote your laptop around once you get there, this is a great option. But carrying one of these around a lot can be a pain since they are made of hard plastic, that isn't fun scraping up against you as you walk.

I figure the airport laptop thieves would pick this Pelican over my cheap ass $20 bag. I want to be inconspicuous.

I was thinking the same thing as #4. That thing looks freakin bad ace! If I was going to steal a laptop I would follow the guy with this bag!

I travel for business often with my computer bag from Big Lots. There's not a better time or reason to start looking like I really do have a job than now. I'm ordering....
