Slightly cheaper at Amazon for me (no sales tax). The upgrade rebate requires registering your qualifying Canon product by July 20th, 2009 - hey nice Canon. I have a busted S1 IS sitting in a drawer and would have gladly pulled the trigger on this deal if not for the absurd rebate conditions.

I just bought the T1i (which is similar to this model except the T1i is 15-MegaPixels and does HD video. Great camera, perfect intro for DSLR and will grow with you as you become more skilled.

I am surprised that the $50.00 rebate is for registered Canon owner's only. This really should be just a flat out $50.00 mail-in rebate.

#10... The T1i has already replaced this, and there won't be a replacement for it this year.

This is still a great camera and worth this price easily.

The prices for the XS, XSi and T1i on Amazon change several times daily, you can catch a good deal if you're persistent.

XSi, obviously, as it includes an extra letter.
