Unlike #1, I have an AT&T Dect 6.0 setup and I have noticed much better range and reception than with my old pre-Dect setup. Different models may give different results.

How far does one stray from the base unit? an occasional phone call from the backyard works fine.. people want security first up with wireless devices.
