Got an off brand (this appears to be the Wii branded unit) very much like it from like Dig-buy for like $7 delivered right before last Christmas. The one I got is alright it just doesn’t hold the remotes with a positive hold and something didn’t charge and the lighting is way to overpowering even behind a cabinet door. You get what you pay for.
Here's the down side, this will become a real pain when you add the new motion control add-on for say Resort. You need to unclip that and if you use the silicone covers (a good idea with the littler ones) that all makes for a royal pain. I just bought Sanyo Eneloop rechargable batteries w/charger, and another 4 pack from Amazon that’s about $33. They last like 3 weeks before they drop into the second light and that tells the boy’s to recharge them when finished. I run 4 controllers for what two of these cost, while just slicing a portion of the silicone cover out of the way to access the batteries allow them remove them without pulling the cover

After my NYKO batteries began holding a charge of only 5-15mons each, I gave away the whole charge station and went with Enerloops. Not only do I not have to scramble to find those idiot batteries anymore, the Wiimote now fits into that silly silicone condom with the standard Wiimote backs on it and not the anti-skid 3rd party backs that come with the charge station.

Agreed. I too bought the Nyko and now the batteries drain quickly. I have bought more Eneloops to use and will get rid of the Nyko.

Wow. Totally differing experience as my Nyko charging station is almost 2 yrs old and the batteries still hold charge for weeks. Totally agree if you use any Wii-mote covering, the station is rendered useless without removing said cover.
