These crooks are the worst hosting company ever. DO NOT under any circumstances sign up with them.

i cannot stress this enough, stay away from this company. Google "globat sucks" and see for yourself.

I'd recommend buying something from TigerDirect with a rebate before I'd even suggest signing up with these guys.

I have to mirror what 1,2 & 3 already said ... DO NOT even consider using Globat for your hosting needs. My dealings with them leave me believing that they are at best morons or at worst crooks.

STAY AWAY!

These people are the absolute worst. If you are still thinking that 6 mo is a good deal READ THIER CONTRACT. I had them for a year, after a year of not using thier HORRIBLE services they auto-renew and charge you for ANOTHER year. I didnt pay, so they charged me a "not cancelling fee" of 150.00$, then they have thier collections department call me non stop for 3 months. They finally got the message, Im not paying!

I have had them for a year and no probs, decent up time and site speed. I am all for a good bashing if they derve it but it seems like Godaddy or 1and1 have their entire cs dept writing comments on here talking trash. If Globat sucks who is better, please dont say godaddy or I will slap you

I wish I would've seen these comments before signing up.

I have a couple of free domains, so I transferred one here.

Right now I'm using Netfirms (I got in on their 1 yr for $10 deal)

Worse comes to worst I'll just cancel before the 6 months are up.

don't go for powweb too! They're slow!

I've had pretty good service at Shieldhost, and if you can deal with using the Yahoo mail interface, the Yahoo domains management stuff's pretty good, and (when Ben tells us about a deal) inexpensive.

Better off doing the free Microsoft deal

#8, these comments are here EVERY time this deal comes up.

You want to cancel long before the 6 months are up. Most of the stories revolve around getting jerked around when trying to cancel. Give at least 30 days notice. I'd probably cancel it now and be done with it, so you don't have to deal with it later.

Haha,- I dont work for any hosting companies, I am just an injured customer. I use 1hourhosting.com right now, they are o-k but nothing special. Thier tech support is good though. The proof that Glob@t is bad is in thier contracts, read through them all! and see how it says that if you dont go to thier website to cancel (cant cancel on the phone) that you are obligated to pay the full price for another year, and if you dont they will charge you a crazy late fee. Also notice in thier contract that they say they can upgrade your account at ANY time and charge you for it without your permission!

I signed up with globat.com in June, sent in all the rebate documentation certified. First, they said they did not get it. I then sent them copies of all the documentation again, along with the signiture receipt of a person that signed for the documents when they arrived. I have called and complained numerous times, with no responce. I have filed a complaint with the FTC, who informed me that they are planing a class action suit against Globat.Com. I was also informed that there are many more people that have filed against Globat.

Beware !
