It does include a xD to microsd adapter, but then you are limited to smaller, slower, more expensive cards.
They need to get over themselves and switch to SDHC cards like everyone else.

Agreed. They look like Sony and their silly Memory Sticks, hanging out in their tree fort and saying that nobody can play with them unless they buy their crappy proprietary flash memory. I'd probably have bought one of these years ago for a "beater" camera, but not without standard flash memory. I wonder if they really make so much on xD cards that it's worth the sales losses on camera hardware.

Yeah, they are really shooting themselves in the foot with that memory format. The adapter is nice, but not as nice as just ditching xD. They also use a proprietary mini USB connector so you have to buy their cables which also sucks.
I have one of their DSLRs and it's a very nice camera. At least the that lets me use CF cards but the USB connector still pisses me off!
I bet the proprietary accessories lose more in camera sales than they make.

xD is as bad as Sony's crap sticks. Super slow and virtually useless.
This particular camera is only good outdoors. Indoor pics are horrible (extremely noisy) not to mention the performance (speed) of this camera is below average so speed shots are worthless.
If you're looking for a good weatherproofed camera, get the Canon D10.

My 770SW (the 7 MP version) is great. I never worry about the granddaughter dropping it. I take it in the ocean to get underwater pics. Don't worry about it being in my back pocket.
