Notice how Vipre doesn't show anything about its effectiveness in those charts. ESET is way better. If you're gonna pay for an antivirus it should be nod32, period.

Even free is too much for McAfee Total Protection. It brought my computer to a crawl. Boot time became ridiculous. MTP is a resource sucking whore. To add injury to insult, it missed a trojan that caused me hours of grief. After that joy, I uninstalled and replaced MTP and performance improved immediately. Maybe the upcoming 2010 version will be better, but I've had it with McAfee.
