    too bulky to carry around with your laptop, fine if you have a laptop instead of a desktop.

    #2 & #3; it's a USB sound card. The only good reason to get one of those is if you're using a laptop instead of a desktop *AND* you have good speakers *AND* you're doing something that requires a good sound card.

    lol. #1 is going to carry his laptop and 5.1 system around.

    this isn't a bad price. i used to have a Philips Aurilium that will do the same thing at a similar price. i'm not sure it's being produced anymore.

    I bought 2 of them and they work great. No compatibility problems at all even with speaker systems and video projectors.

    What I meant #6 is this is fine if you have a laptop as a desktop replacement... where most probably it sits in one place and is not carried around much, then this item is justifiable...
