It's killing me trying to wait for DirectX 11 cards to come out...which is supposed to be around December, right?

Why Statler? What game support Dx11? Most game now dont even support Dx10

I'm waiting for Dx11 mainly due to their huge performance increase. New generations cards are usually don't just have new features, but are much faster as well.

Rumor has it September 10th...

Here's a summary of all talk surrounding the Dx11 release and what you/we can "hopefully" expect.

This is a good price, people can always wait longer and longer. Go for now and have decent drivers, hopefully by now, then deal with driver issues with new tech.

Directx 11 cards also offer hardware acceleration on windows vista and 7 which is a BIG deal.
Though I do not endorse vista, it looks like many of us will be left without a choice after a few months due to lack of driver support on xp...

#7 -- Yes, I personally skipped Vista just as I did with Windows 2000 waiting until SP2 for Xp came along. I’ll be looking at Win7 probably sometime in the near future in the family pack form. Sure Xp is moving on just like Windows95 and Win98, but MS usually gets it right the second time around.

This time around the nay-saying isn’t warranted... Sure there will be bugs and thing woun't be like you use to like it, but I'm reading it not the disillusionment of Vista or 2000 that many felt.

Windows 7 has been awesome so far. Not a single problem yet, aside from having to update a couple programs. I'll be signing up in the near future, too. Hell, I'll probably get it the day it comes out since it's been so good.
