This is a good deal for a brand new player (vs refurb). The 4gig model is discontinued which is why it's on sale. Caveats: the car pack doesn't have great reviews, but it's probably worth the cost (included free); also Zune uses proprietary software that not a lot of people like.

My 4gig Zune has been working great since I bought it in May. It's light and compact, the battery holds up nicely, and it even comes with a few games that really help kill time on long plane rides. If you're looking for something you really want to watch videos on, however, wait a couple weeks and pick up the Zune HD.

Beware, Microsoft is planning to (or has already started to) discontinue all Zunes except the upcoming Zune HD when it's released.
